1. Brand Identity
When it comes to exploring what appropriate design ideas are fitting for your brand, you need to know what will be the exact profile of your company. Much like profiling a person but instead of an individual, we will be focusing on a brand with its name and attributes.
It’s not enough for a logo concept to be perfect based on it being a cosmetic logo itself but because it is based on the values your brand have. Does it evoke luxury? Or is it a more welcoming but a loud brand? Either way, it is a must to ensure you know your brand personally.
Let’s make one of my brand concepts as an example, as I was making this concept I need to know all of this key informations to better see my understanding of what this brand will be:
- Brand name: Defi Cosmetics
- Vibe/Feels: Loud & Playful
- Pricing: Affordable
- Attitude: Jolly
- Target: Teens
Another one to add to this “brand identity list” is the conclusion.
The conclusion of Defi Cosmetics:
A cosmetic brand that focuses on being a non intimidating brand, where it spreads positivity through beauty. Its loud, fun, and very attractive to the youth, where consciousness is on the rise.

2. Brand Strategy
With the identity of the brand now known, it’s time to think of ways of how to get your audience hooked with the experience your brand will deliver. It’s not enough to have a new shiny design, it’s about what you’ll do with it to further expand your brand presence.
Marketing Strategy:
Implement the identity of your brand with your marketing assets such as posters, billboards, social media templates, and video editing style.
Packaging Design:
Packaging is one way to really differentiate from the competition, as Defi is a cosmetics brand, one way to strategize with the use of the branding is definitely the uniqueness of your product range side-by-side with your competitors on the physical store shelves.
Interior Design:
Not only the product, but also the place where your brand will translate it’s identity into an experience where your customers will get immersed through its vibes and feels. The colors, the brand patterns, the typography, imagery, and brand voice. All of it, will be felt into an interior designed by those principles.
3. Brand Experience
With the identity already finalized and the strategy defined, it’s time to build and craft the major blueprint for how the brand’s services will be executed. This is where platforms such as the website will be planned and designed. Employee behavior is also defined in this category.
Brand Music:
Give your brand something memorable that evoke it’s vibes beyond what we see. Nothing is greater than having a specific tune that can make everyone instantly recognize your business. It’s another channel we can definitely use to expand your brand’s awareness but also make it an essential part of the overall experience for your customers.
Brand Voice:
These is how your brand speaks, how your employees communicate, and how your brand express it’s ideas through words. Since Defi Cosmetics is very loud and playful, we need to apply this in writing and speech by using bold-capitalized fonts constantly, and a very energetic emotion when speaking.
Platform Experience:
We can’t forget your digital storefront which is your website. And your website alone should include everything we’ve come up with such as how we write, the overall vibe of each page, and your user interface should reflect your brand’s values (Just like your interior design).
